PRIMAA celebrated World Environment Day on June 5th with activities planned for Climate Action along with Spandhan Life Skills Enhancement Centre, an Occupational Therapy Center for Special Kids and Sindoori Faber.

Goal of this micro-engagement was to raise awareness of climate change in urban areas and make a small part of Chennai clean and green and create local community awareness on urban climate related actions.

PRIMAA carried out awareness building and cleanliness campaign & activities in Anna Nagar with volunteers with the Themes:
1. ‘PAINT THE WALL GREEN, MAKE THE STREET CLEAN’.
2. ‘KNOW YOUR STREET, TO KEEP IT NEAT’.

On June 5th, Sunday, World Environment Day was celebrated in Spandhan along with an Awareness program for the parents and local residents. Activities conducted by volunteers and students included:

Tree planting at the center.
PAINT THE WALL GREEN – with environment friendly messages & motifs.
A Puppet Show for creating awareness on WASH water, sanitation & hygiene (WASH) topics.
Motivational talk by PRIMAA on Environment Day to the parents, volunteers and well-wishers of Spandhan.
 
Involved Municipal Corporation to collect the garbage after the clean-up.

PRIMAA Enterprise organized the event and activities, to achieve much required climate action goals to making Chennai a resilient city.
