PRIMAA celebrated The fifth International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste (IDAFLW) on September 27th with activities planned for awareness along with State Bank of India and Anna Adarsh College for Women students.
PRIMAA organized a Field Visit to Koyambedu market, Chennai’s largest wholesale market, as preparation for the activities of The fifth International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste (IDAFLW).
The students were accompanied by Mrs. Mahalakshmi Vaddadi and Mr. Varun Aiyer, to sensitize and immerse the participating students about waste management including food waste and lives of the vendors in the market.

PRIMAA carried out two Awareness program in Anna Nagar with volunteers with the motto:
1. Museum of Waste (MOWA) – A Visual Journey of Waste Artifacts.
2. Festival of Waste (FOWA) – Our Hunger Games – Feast or Famine performance.

These performances were carried out on 27th September 2024 at Anna Adarsh College for Women.

Goal of this engagement was to raise awareness of Food Waste and Food Loss in Urban areas and make a small group of Chennai citizens aware of food wastage and sensitized them to eradicate it.
